While growing up in Bloomington, Sammy was very active with the Bloomington Philharmonic Orchestra and The Sounds of South, a local Musical Theater group. As well as his love for music, Sammy has a deep connection with animals. Sammy's closest friends growing up were his dogs and horses. Sammy raised, trained and showed Quarter Horses on the Quarter Horse Circuit in the Mid-West, one of his favorite past times which he still enjoys. After graduating High School, Sammy was unclear of his future plans. Sammy was planning to attend Indiana University and major in Musical Theater but destiny had another plan. A close family friend who was in the Fashion Industry had taken notice of Sammy's keen sense of Fashion, Style, and People Skills while growing up. She felt Sammy had a lot of talent and needed some help and direction; she had him over for lunch and asked him if he would like to live in New York City and work for the FORD Modeling Agency. Sammy was very excited and shocked by the offering and accepted right away. Small town boy was on his way to the big city with much to learn. While in New York, Sammy worked his way up the Fashion Retail ladder working for companies such as J. Crew, Banana Republic and designer Nicole Miller as Director of Visual Merchandising. Sammy lived in NYC for a little over four years and then decided on a move to San Francisco to follow his heart. Once in the Bay Area, Sammy managed the flagship Z.Gallerie Home Furnishings Store in Palo Alto, opened the flagship Guess store in downtown San Francisco and was the Regional Visual Merchandising Manager, as well as Director of New Store openings for Pure Beauty. In 2005, after working in Sales, Marketing and Management for 12 years, Sammy decided to follow his aunt’s advice and start a career in Real Estate. Real Estate was not entirely new to him seeing that his aunt is a broker/owner of six Century 21 offices in Hawaii. Sammy and Real Estate go hand in hand thanks to Sammy's ability to connect and understand many different types of people. After spending only five minutes with Sammy, you will start to see his magnetic personality and his superb communication skills. Sammy takes an extremely personal approach to Real Estate by providing unmatched follow-up and high-end customer service. As a child, Marco was constantly cheerful, optimistic, talkative, and active, all of which his own mother often mistook as mischievousness. Marco loves sports and participated in any sport possible during school, including basketball, baseball, soccer, and track and field. Outside of school, he competed in numerous state and national tournaments as a member of the San Francisco Japantown Junior All-Star Bowling team. Aside from school and sports, Marco often helped his grandmother prepare dinner, which has sparked and fueled his current passion for cooking. After high school, Marco attended the University of California, Irvine and majored in Psychology and Social Behaviors. Marco has a special gift of bonding with people and many are drawn to his personality and willingness to help. A major in psychology was only appropriate to help him understand how to better connect with others on a social level. After graduating from UCI, Marco joined America Printing Co., in offset commercial printing. As an account executive, he successfully acquired and managed numerous local and corporate accounts, oversaw multiple printing projects, and led the marketing team. However, Marco desired more social interaction and turned to real estate, an area that would give him satisfaction in helping others find their dream homes, and at the same time allow him to maintain his vivacity and build lifelong friendships. Understanding the need to have balance in life, Marco also enjoys word games such as Scrabble and Bananagrams, as well as officiates high school and college basketball, and values time with family and friends.
